Saints and devotees from various places had gathered before Him in an assembly. Then Shreeji Maharaj said. “I was going from Venkatadri to Setubandh Rameshwar. On the way I came across a recluse named Sevakram. He had studied Shreemad Bhagavat and other holy books. On the way he fell ill. And though he had goId coins worth one thousand rupees he had nobody to nurse him. So he began to cry. I told him not to worry and promised to nurse him. He was not able to walk, so my heart was filled with extreme pity. There I gathered banana leaves and prepared a bed one foot high for him. He was suffering from acute diarrhea. Saints and devotees from various places had gathered before Him in an assembly. Then Shreeji Maharaj said. “One may worship Lord Krushna with a firm conviction that he has realized the Lord in person, and that he can visualize Him in his heart. However, as long as he does not think himself to be ‘poornakam’ [one who has fulfilled all his desires] and feels something lacking in his heart, and thinks that so long as he has not visualized the luminescent image of the Lord residing in his divine abodes like Golok, Vaikunth, etc. he has not attained his ultimate good completely. Such a person should be considered an ignorant person, and you should not listen from his mouth to any talks about the Lord. And a person who has a firm conviction that he has realized God in person, and thinks that he is poornakam, and that all his desires are fulfilled in having the darshan [glimpse] of the Lord:’ and does […] read more

Saints and devotees from various places had gathered before Him in an assembly. Then Shreeji Maharaj said, “If the activities of the organs of senses are directed towards the service of Lord Shree Krushna and His devotees, one’s heart becomes pure, and the sins attached to him from times immemorial are redeemed. But if these activities are directed towards fulfillment of the desire for women and other such objects, his heart becomes polluted and he falls from the path of his ultimate good. Therefore one should enjoy the objects of senses in the manner prescribed by the Holy Scriptures. You should never transgress the limits prescribed by the scriptures. You should always be in the company of saints and avoid the company of the wicked. Only when a person leaves the company of the wicked and seeks the company of saints, his attachment for the body and its relatives will disappear, and he will develop intense love for God and become unattached to […] read more

Hence today I am going to explain to you these spiritual matters properly. Listen to me. When the soul identifies himself with the three types of bodies: sthool [physical], sookshma [subtle], and karan [causal] .he is said to have become ‘anvay’ i.e. one with the body. But when he thinks himself to be sattarnaira [mere spiritual existence] different from the three types or bodies he is said lo be vyatirek i.e. distinct from the body. In the same way when Ishwar identifies Himself with His three types of bodies: virat [visible universe], sootratma [subtle universe] and avyakrut [non-manifest universe], He is said to be one with the universe. But when He thinks Himself to be a mere spiritual existence different from the universe, He is said to […] read more

If the Lord or a saint tells him some harsh words he takes such words for his own good and does not feel hurl about the Lord or the saint. Such a person attains eminence in the holy fellowship day by day. And one, who is not so wise, thinks high of his own virtues as he progresses in the holy fellowship and as he hears the holy discourses, but when the Lord or a saint points out his faults he feels hurt about them and finds faults with them. He should love the Brahmacharis [Brahmin renunciates] Sadhus [saints] and Satsangis [members of the Holy fellowship], and preserve them in his memory. The reason is, in case, he forgets the divine image of God at the time of his death, he may recollect the various exploits of God, or may revive the memory of some member of the holy fellowship, or a Brahmachari, or a Sadhu at that time. and along with this memory he may recollect the divine image of God. Thus he may attain the highest position and may achieve his ultimate good. With this in mind, I perform big sacrifices dedicated […] read more
