Gadhada First Chapter:-60

In the Samvat year 1876 on the first day of the dark half of the month of Falgun. Shreeji Maharaj was seated in the residential place of the saints in the Durbar of Dada Khachar in Gadhada. He had put a white upper garment over His shoulder and covered His body with a white cotton shawl. He had put a white turban on His head and tassels of white flowers were hanging from His turban. Garlands of white flowers adorned His neck. Saints and devotees from various places had gathered before Him in an assembly. Then Shreeji Maharaj said, “To get rid of worldly desires is the most difficult of all the means of realizing God. I will tell you the way to get rid of such worldly desires. One must think whether his desire for God is as intense as his desires for enjoyment for the worldly objects of the five senses i.e. sound, touch. sight, taste and smell, or whether it is more intense or less intense. Gadhada First Chapter:-59

In the Samvat year 1876 on. the fourteenth day of bright half of the month of Falgun. Shreeji Maharaj was seated on a wooden bedstead laid in the veranda in front of the hall facing the west in front of the temple of Shree Vasudev Narayan in the Durbar of Dada Khachar in Gadhada. He had put a white upper garment over His shoulder and covered His body with a white cotton shawl. He had wrapped a long white cotton cloth with silken borders round His head. Sandalwood paste was applied over His forehead. Saints and devotees from various places had gathered before Him in an assembly. Then Shreeji Maharaj invited the assembly to start questions and answers. In the Samvat year 1876, on the fifth day of the bright half of the month of Falgun in the evening at the time of evening prayers, Shreeji Maharaj was seated in the   residential place of the saints in the Durbar of Dada Khachar in Gadhada. He had put on all white garments. Saints and devotees from various places had gathered before Him in an assembly? Then Shreeji Maharaj invited the assembly to ask Him questions. Thereupon Muktanand Swami asked. “At the time of worshipping God, when a devotee is disturbed by the evil influence of rajogun and tamogun(p1easure seeking and evil attributes of Maya), he is not able to enjoy the bliss of worshipping God. Please tell us how we can get rid of the evil influence.” Shreeji Maharaj replied, ‘The causes of the evil influence are: attachment for the body. evil association and the deeds of the previous life. In the Samvat year 1876, on the second day of the bright half of the month of Falgun, Shreeji Maharaj was seated in the residential place of the saints in the Durbar of Dada Khachar in Gadhada. He had put on all white garments. Saints and devotees from various places had gathered before Him in an assembly. Then Shreeji Maharaj invited those who were able to conduct questions and answers, to ask one question each. There upon Muktanand Swami asked, “Maharaj, what is the specific means of moksha [redemption]?” Shreeji Maharaj replied, ‘To know the divine personality of God and to know the greatness of God are the two specific means of moksha [redemption].” Then again Muktanand Swami asked, ‘What is the nature of love for God?” Shreeji Maharaj replied, “There should not remain even a tinge of doubt in our love for God. In the Samvat year 1876, on the twelfth day of the dark half of the month of Magh in the evening, Shreeji Maharaj was seated on a wooden bedstead laid in the veranda in front of the hall facing the west near the temple of Shree Vasudev Narayan in the Durbar of Dada Khachar in Gadhada. He had put a white upper garment over His shoulder and covered His body with a rich saffron colored cloth interwoven with gold and silver threads. He had put a headdress made of an equally rich cloth on His head. Saints and devotees from various places had gathered before Him in an assembly. Having finished the chanting of the names of Narayan. the saints were singing devotional songs accompanied with musical instruments like midrange and zany. Shreeji Maharaj was seated in the veranda in front of the hall facing the east in His own residence in the Durbar of Dada Khachar in Gadhada. He had put on all white garments. Saints and devotees from various places had gathered before Him in an assembly. Then Shreeji Maharaj asked the assembly to start questions and answers. Thereupon Muktanand Swami asked, ‘Why the soul is not firm in his worship and in remembering God. and in his observance of his sacred vows?” Shreeji Maharaj replied, “It is the evil influence of desh [place].
