In the Samvat year 1876, on the tenth day of the bright half of the month of Margashirsh, Shreeji Maharaj was seated in the Darbar of Dada Khachar in Gadhada. He had put on all white garments. Saints and devotees from various places had gathered before Him in an assembly.

Then Shreeji Maharaj said, ‘Whenever one comes across highly spiritual matters in our scriptures, he either does not understand them or gets confused. Hence today I am going to explain to you these spiritual matters properly. Listen to me. When the soul identifies himself with the three types of bodies: sthool [physical], sookshma [subtle], and karan [causal] .he is said to have become ‘anvay’ i.e. one with the body. But when he thinks himself to be sattarnaira [mere

spiritual existence] different from the three types or bodies he is said lo be vyatirek i.e. distinct from the body. In the same way when Ishwar identifies Himself with His three types of bodies: virat [visible universe], sootratma [subtle universe] and avyakrut [non-manifest universe], He is said to be one with the universe. But when He thinks Himself to be a mere spiritual existence different from the universe, He is said to be distinct from the universe. Similarly when Aksharbruhm is identified with Maya [omnipotent faculty of God] and thought to be pervading the infinite universes created by Maya, it is said to be one with the universe. But when it is thought to be a mere spiritual existence different from the universe and is described as Sachchidanand [existence, consciousness and bliss] and as Niyanta’ [controller]  he is said to be distinct from the universe. And when Lord Shree Krushna is thought to be pervading Aksharbrahm, Ishwar, jeev, Maya and its creation-the universe. He is said to be one with them. But when He is thought to be residing in Brahm jyoti [supreme luminescence] in Golokdham, He is said to be a distinct identity. Lord Purushottam Bhagavan, Aksharbrahm, Ishwar, jeev and Maya are five distinct from one another, and this distinction is eternal.”
