In the Samvat year 1876 on the fourteenth day of the bright half of the month of Paush, Shreeji Maharaj was seated on a wooden bedstead laid in the veranda in front of the hall near the temple of Shree Vasudev Narayan in the Durbar of Dada Khachar in Gadhada. He had put on all white garments. Saints were seated before Him in a row for dinner.

Then Shreeji Maharaj said, “When a devotee is destined to fall from our holy fellowship the first thing that happens is that vicious thoughts arise in his mind. First of all he begins to find faults with each and every member of the holy fellowship and thinks that is the only wise person in the fellowship and all others are fools. He thinks himself to be the wisest of all. As a  result be feels uneasy in his mind, day and night. He is not

able to rest at one place during the day, and at night sleep eludes him. His anger never subsides. He feels suffocated like a half burnt log of wood. If anyone feels like this, it indicates that he is about to fall from the holy fellowship. Such a person may remain in the fellowship for a few more days. But he feels unhappy even for those few days, Ultimately he turns away from the holy fellowship.

But when a person is likely to rise in our holy fellowship auspicious thoughts are on increase in his mind. Day by day he begins to appreciate the virtues of each and every

member of we holy fellowship, He begins to think that all other members are great and he is the smallest among them. He feels happy within the holy fellowship for all the eight quarters of the day. If we find such signs in a person we can surmise that auspicious thoughts are on the increase in his mind. The more and more he associates himself with the holy fellowship, the more and more he advances in the fellowship. Finally he

attains towering greatness. With these words Shreeji Maharaj Concluded His discourse and uttering ‘Jay Sadchchidanand’ returned to His residence.
